Trends In Green Technologies Towards Sustainable Growth

In the foregoing years, environmental related problems have led our concerns towards clean sustainable energy. Sustainable energy towards green technologies means eco-friendly technologies that not only fulfil human requirements but also support life in a meaningful way socially, economically and environmentally.[1,2] Sustainable energy, frequently alluded to as clean energy, originates from natural sources or procedures that are continually recharged. Non-renewable energy incorporates petroleum derivatives, for example, oil, gas, and coal. Non-renewable sources of energy are only available in limited amounts that cause major effect on environment like greenhouse effect, global warming, and collapse of ecosystem(Lora Shinn, 2018).[3] Sources of renewable energy comes from natural sources like wind, tide, sun, oceans, geothermal, and biomass which is most suitable and economical way to replace non-renewable sources because of its limitation and environmental effects. Likewise non-renewable energy, there are some positive and negative perspectives of renewable energy.

Positive perspectives of renewable sources over non-renewable sources are: It won’t run out (excess), more economical (operating cost/ once install then almost no cost for operation because of no fuel such as coal and oil), lower maintenance requirement (non-flammable operation), health (respiratory and cardiac health issues), environmentally friendly (smaller carbon footprint) and significantly it can produce energy locally(you’re using for your power needs).

Negative perspectives that we face during usage of renewable Higher upfront cost(there are often financial incentives, such as tax credits and rebates), Intermittency (many of these resources aren’t available 24 by 7. Some days perhaps sun doesn’t shine at night, windier than others, and droughts may happen for periods of time), Storage capabilities (due to intermittency of some renewable
energy sources, that’s why we need the high energy storage capability. While a lot of storage technologies available today, they may are expensive, mainly for large-scale renewable energy plants) and geographic limitations such as topographies, changing climates, and vegetation(Kerry Thoubboron,2018).[4]

When we seek both positive and negative aspects of renewable energy, the positives outweighs the negatives. Transitioning from non-renewable to renewable on personal, government or industrial sectorare not only for the purpose of money saving as well as promotes clean healthier and sustainable environment of the future generations. Nearly all the states of the world have promised to contribute towards sustainable future ahead. United nation had launched 17 Global Goals also called Sustainable Development Goals SDGs in 2015 which include ending extreme poverty, quality education,industrial and economic growth, providing people better health care, clean energy, clean water, sustainable life on land and underwater, promoting justice and renewable energy and attainingequality for women.

The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2020 confirms that growth suffered due to the current pandemic and we were not on course to meet the Goals by 2030. Social, Economic and Number of deaths is making it even more challenging. In order to minimize the crisis, the United Nations system has activated at all turns, consolidating the typical modifications of the United Nations development system.[5] Zaffar A. Shaikh(Green Technologies, 2017) had explained the green technologies contributed towards sustainable growth of the world and discussed thirteen application areas of green technology.

Clean Water is essential to nurture life. The World Health Organization (WHO) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) legalizes the quality of water. All Water treatment system must meet the standards sets for safe drinking.[6]Green Technologies have safeguarded that wastewater released by different industries must be used in other areas like livestock watering and irrigation of lands.[7]The Final Effluents must be reused in the manufacturing process because it is easier to treat the wastewater then to produce new methods to acquire water. Microbial fuel cells have an auspicious future in the field of waste water treatment system.[8] The new-found evolution in the technology as a Zero Waste Programs have not only regulate the waste but also act as a source of renewable energy. The technical concern of air pollution has been diminished by utilizing the released gases primarily Greenhouse gases GHGs in anaerobic bioreactors.[9]

Green technology which is being employed in the production of green automobiles, there will be fewer discharge of GHGs contrasted to standard transport, thus directing to a sustainable environment.[10]Environment Protection Agency (EPA)describesthe sustainable automobile system which is sustaining social, economic and environmental concernsand has diminished influence on a
waste production.

Clean industries incorporates green technologies in their manufacturing process and in the movements results in durability.[11]This terminology clean industry is exercisedcorresponding with green industry and may also represent to the industries that perform to resolve ecological concerns.Green technologies are ecosystem curative technologies. They reduced the
ecological damages done by humans for their easiness.[12]

We are lacking in skill and knowledge to take-up with the green technology. We have to develop the new and skillful methods to value it. As green technologies possess forward, it must keep up with the latest technologies to meet loads and to fulfil all the components for effective responses. Progressions in Data and Communication Technologies is a challenge that green technologies must incessantly revolutionize for them to flourish and accomplish their establishedaims.[13]

Clean technology is a competitive and powerful technology that can help us to solve and minimize problems mainly related to our environment and manufacturing sector but only if necessary steps are taken. Governments should support the projects of renewable energy and promotes the adaptation of green technology in the market Educating community and training employees dealing with green technology developments can offer the essential knowledge needed to work out effectively and efficiently. If people can manage to overcome the challenges incorporates by green technology , they can also deal with the social, economic and environmental concerns.We have concluded that green technologies are a must in today’s world.[14]As the conventional technology is damaging our
sustainability, we have to implement green technology in order to sustain our lives and our world because of its long-term benefits. The easiest way to maintain social, economic and environmental sustainability is only education.

His early achievements include setting up a Raymond Mill in Lahore, Pakistan by International Combustion Derbyshire, United Kingdom, and later ATP by Alpine Hosokawa, Germany.

Furthermore, initiated a Marble Mine in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir in 2007 and was the first one to start a coating mill for Calcium Carbonate in 2010. Shaheen Group is the major group of marble processing for various industries as Paints, Paper, Artificial Leather, Cables, and PVC Pipe industry. He has also received the Businessman of the Year Award in 2012. Ch. Iftikhar Bashir is the former Senior Vice Chairman of LTIA and former Chairman of Lahore Township Industries Association (LTIA). He is the President of the Pakistan Grinding Mills Association (PGMA). Former President Defense Raiwind Road Association Industrial Association (DRIBA) Former Board Member Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)

Being a socially responsible individual, he is a member of MJF Lions Club and is a trustee of, “Subhan, the helper Trust” and a contributory member over various other platforms for which he was awarded another award of recognition by the President of Pakistan for his social work. Belonging to the Arain community he has made remarkable contributions on the platform anjuman-e-arain where he holds the status of senior vice president. Last but not least he is a Board Member Governor Punjab Social Welfare Committee (SWC) and amid his efforts, his name has been added on the wall of Covid-19 heroes in Governor House Lahore.

Mr. Haji Chaudhry Bashir Ahmad a true visionary, driven by his passion and determined towards his goal set up one of the earliest grinding mills in Lahore, Pakistan in 1966. He had his interest vested in chemicals since a young age which led him to develop constructive relationships with Chemistry and Geology professors from the University of Punjab. Equipped with the appropriate knowledge on minerals and fillers he visited the potential mines and educated the local community regarding the potential benefits in the initiation of mining minerals in Pakistan. Therefore, it is safe to say that he has played the role of Grand Father in the grinding industry. 

Mr. Haji Chaudhry Bashir Ahmad was inspired by the grand legendary poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal after meeting him (add hyperlink to google page of Allama Iqbal) and named the company after his truly motivating and influential poems regarding Shaheen. (Eagle)
